Gender & Sexuality Therapy in Washington & Texas
Maybe you’ve always known that your gender or sexuality felt different from what others expected — or maybe this is something you’re only beginning to explore. You might feel excitement and relief at the idea of living more authentically, but also fear, confusion, or grief about what this could mean for your relationships, family, or faith community.
You deserve a space where you don’t have to have all the answers — where your story, your body, and your identity can unfold at their own pace, without judgment or pressure.
Through gender and sexuality exploration, we’ll create a space for you to explore who you are, what feels true for you, and how to live more fully in that truth — with compassion, curiosity, and freedom.
Exploring identity can be empowering — and it can also bring up uncertainty, fear, or self-doubt. Therapy can help when you’re feeling lost, confused, or unsupported in that process.

How Therapy for Gender & Sexuality Can Help You
You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.
This is a space to slow down, breathe, and listen to your inner knowing — the part of you that’s always been there, even if it’s been quiet.
In therapy, I’ll help you:
⟡ Explore your gender and sexual identity at your own pace and in your own language
⟡ Work through fear, shame, or confusion around self-expression
⟡ Develop compassion for parts of yourself that have been hidden or silenced
⟡ Build self-trust and confidence in living authentically
⟡ Navigate coming out or relationship transitions with care and intention
⟡ Find grounding and self-acceptance in a world that can feel invalidating
Benefits of Therapy
When you create space to explore your identity with care and support, you begin to feel more aligned with yourself — not who you were told to be.
With support, you can begin to have:
⟡ Greater self-understanding and self-trust
⟡ Relief from shame, guilt, or confusion
⟡ More authentic relationships and boundaries
⟡ Freedom to express gender and sexuality in ways that feel right
⟡ A sense of belonging — within yourself, and in community
⟡ Confidence in naming and honoring your needs and desires
Therapy can help you replace uncertainty with self-compassion and curiosity with courage.
Hi, I’m Cheyenne McGuire, LMFT, CST.
I take a relational, trauma-informed, and body-affirming approach to gender and sexuality work — grounded in curiosity, safety, and deep respect for your lived experience. We’ll explore the unique story of how you came to understand yourself and what messages have shaped your sense of identity and belonging.
Using a systemic and narrative lens, we’ll look at how family, culture, religion, and media have influenced your understanding of gender and sexuality — and begin to separate those external messages from your own truth.
We’ll also integrate the body into our work, helping you notice where identity, shame, pleasure, and freedom live in your physical experience. Sometimes healing comes from remembering that your body and identity is yours — a place of safety, intuition, and expression.
For clients exploring sexual orientation, gender transition, kink or non-monogamous relational structures, this work is centered in affirmation, choice, and self-trust. I believe in creating a therapeutic space that welcomes every part of who you are — your uncertainty, your excitement, your grief, and your becoming.
You don’t need to perform, prove, or rush your process. This is about learning to feel safe in your truth — whatever that looks like for you.
Let’s begin your journey with Gender and Sexuality Exploration Therapy in Washington or Texas.
You don’t have to shrink yourself or silence your truth to feel safe.
Together, we’ll help you discover what authenticity, freedom, and self-acceptance mean for you.
