Maybe you've always known that your gender or sexuality felt different from what others expected. Maybe these questions are brand new. Or maybe you've known for years but haven't felt safe enough to explore them.

You might feel excitement and relief at the possibility of living more authentically, alongside fear, confusion, grief, or uncertainty about what this could mean for your relationships, family, faith, or future.

You don't have to have all the answers before you begin.

When Identity Intersects With Relationships, Religion & Sexuality

Identity doesn't exist in isolation.

Questions about gender and sexuality can intersect with family expectations, religion, culture, relationships, body image, trauma, and the messages you've received about who you're supposed to be.

Maybe your sexuality conflicts with what you were taught growing up. Maybe you're questioning your gender while navigating a long-term relationship. Maybe you're exploring non-monogamy, kink, or a different way of relating to your body and sexuality. Maybe you're simply realizing that the life you've been building doesn't quite feel like your own.

Therapy can be a space to explore these intersections without having to choose one part of yourself over another.

We can make room for the excitement, grief, uncertainty, fear, curiosity, and possibility that can come with becoming more fully yourself.

Hi, I’m Cheyenne McGuire LMFT, CST

Your Fort Worth, TX Sex Therapist

I take a relational, trauma-informed, and body-affirming approach to gender and sexuality therapy. Together, we'll explore the experiences, relationships, cultural messages, and beliefs that have shaped how you understand yourself.

Using systemic and narrative perspectives, we'll look at the stories you've been given about gender, sexuality, relationships, and identity, and make space for you to decide which stories still belong to you.

We'll also pay attention to the body: where shame, safety, pleasure, fear, and freedom show up physically. The goal isn't to tell you who you are. It's to create enough space and safety for you to discover that for yourself.

For clients exploring sexual orientation, gender transition, kink or non-monogamous relational structures, this work is centered in affirmation, choice, and self-trust. I believe in creating a therapeutic space that welcomes every part of who you are, your uncertainty, your excitement, your grief, and your becoming.

Whether you're questioning your gender, exploring your sexuality, navigating a transition, coming out, or simply trying to understand yourself more deeply, you get to move at your own pace.
